A quick one...
We're looking at a 2008 990 ADV for sale in the freestate. Please give your opinion...
It was first sold and registered end 2009/start 2010...got its 1000km service 26/04/2010...
End of 2011/start 2012 the second owner took the bike with +/- 4000km on it - he bought it for an African trip.
He serviced it at 6825km (recorded at Raceworx KTM) before they left for Kenya - they travelled roughly +/- 10 000 - 12 000 km for about three weeks on which it wasn't serviced. Apparently they did 95% tar and only a little dirt (It's almost evident in the photos)
As they arrived back, he apparently got it serviced again at KTM Gateway - OF WHICH THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO RECORD... (here is where my doubt lies) - so I can only take the owner's word for it (He swears that the bike is 100% fine and was serviced)
1. Would it be a problem if it was serviced, although it went about 4000km over the service interval?
2. Would it be a problem if it was NOT SERVICED, then it would have done +/- 15000km without a service...
We're going to have a look at the bike tomorrow, so I'll have a close look at this thread. Here is some photos...
