My son-in-law was doing about 80 kmh on his WR 450 when the gearbox suddenly just locked up solid and he skidded to a halt a few hundred meters further. After stripping, there is a lot of damage. Needs to replace some of the gears, bearings and one of the shafts.
Anyone know where he can get a complete gearbox, or gearbox spares or maybe a bike to strip for spares ? Must be pre 2006 model, apparently the gearbox differs from 2006 on ? The agents are a bit expensive on this.
