So another what tyre/tire/taaier thread. What are you guys running on the rear these days on your XR650R?
My experience:
EO-7 130/80 18 - almost 5000km = not worth the money R1800 at sharwoods
EO-9 130/80 18 - about 3500-4000km = Really nice tyre but pricey. R1800 at sharwoods
metzeler karoo knobbly (can't remember model) 140/80 18 - about 3000km = awesome tyre but don't think you get them anymore? and if you do I suspect pricey.
I'm considering:
D606 120/90 18 or 130/90 18 - Opinions? R820 online at sharwoods
Pirelli Scorpion Rally 120/100 18 - Good reviews online but maybe a bit small/narrow? R1300 at sharwoods. Anyone have experience with these?
I've resigned myself to the fact that the XRR eats rear tyres so anything that can give me >3000km for around R1000 is what I'm thinking.
