Ok then....after a "Steering Damper"....or was it 2.... : ;D ;D...... we set off in the direction of Kapteinskloof Pass via the "Berg River" low level water crossing. But we soon discovered as we turned the last corner.....there was no way we were gonna be able to get through about 2m deep water.
Eish......you can clearly see, here in the 1st & last photos..... that there were a few KTM's here on these corners having a bit of fun....before we got here ot: :lol8: :lol8: :lol8: :lol8: :lol8:
I have to add that the road surface here really was Gr8 & it did indeed lend itself to "ridden a little faster" ;D ;D
A little bit further on & we arrived @ the flooded river. You can clearly see in the last photo that the river had dropped in level, from the marks it left on the road.....so it sure was a hell of a lot deeper than we found it.
Like I said earlier....with the river crossing being waaaaayyyyy too deep for us to get through....we mounted up again & headed back on a pretyy loooong detour in order to get through to Kapteinskloof Pass.
I truly feel that none of us were complaining...as this only meant that we could enjoy the lekker roads we had just travelled on....& also Andy said that he'd lead us on part of the "Alternate Route".....which IMHO made the trip just that much more special :ricky: :thumleft: :thumleft:
@ this point....I didn't realise that my battery had died.....so I never got any of the footage on the way to the Event out @ Eendekuil....or of any of the guys as we arrived.
Only took these few shots with my phone, of us there & again when we left. I have to say....that it sure was quite a n interesting piece of road leading up to the location of that Event.....nice & sandy in some sections :ricky: :ricky: ;D
