Yet another newbie introduction

Middle-aged male (but no midlife crisis - have been riding bikes since 16 and didn't buy a Harley). New to duel-purpose riding though, and I still fall off regularly in the sand. I ride an 1150 GS, live in Cape Town, and love mountain passes without cars.
