I've salvaged a few off-road bikes, they always start out as cheap rideable bikes that just need minor fixing to hit the trails but OCD kicks in and money is lost. My proudest resto was this seized 2003 WR250 that was a pile of rust, faded plastics and stuck suspension. I ended up R30k in and sold it for R18k, the IMS tank cost a pretty penny, the labour of love was worth the cost, I sometimes wonder if someone is still enjoying it. What is yours?
