Awesome so far  :thumleft:

Excellent as usual.   :thumleft:

You do realise that the PopFunPlot crew is ready for an adventure again
You must by now realise that we inadventently end up following in your tracks
Watch your inbox, sometime in the next while the questions they are "a-coming"

Great, love the report thus far.
I agree, the trip report is the hardest thing to do - keep it up

Great RR and pics......Thanks.

MJ , would/could you do that route with a pillion...?

Just love some of those pics. You guys did some truly hard core adventure riding - at least that's what I think. I am super interested in your preparations. what spares did you take along? looking at those deep river crossings I can only imagine how deep your fingers would up your butts with a bike drowning there deep inna da africa jungle. How do you prepare for such a trip? Doing something similar - perhaps a little drier - is what I really really want to do. Up and down (or left and right as the case may be) the kaprivie.

What about comms. If you do happen to have an off and break a leg or some such - what were your plans?

Sorry for asking what must seem like silly questions but before too long I want to do a similar trip and knowledge is power.

Yes, sure. Personally I hate carrying a pillion, but one should be able to take a pillion quite easily.

Awesome stuff. Great pics. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to the rest :thumleft: :thumleft: :thumleft:

Spares - a universal cable inner with connectors that can fit any  bike.
- wheel bearings
- brake pads (because we knew it was gonna be muddy)
- spare speedo cluster (my hangups)
- tubes
- spare key

Preparation - get as many maps as you can
- speak to people who have been there, the 4x4 fraternity can sometimes supply a lot of info
- speak to people who live there, Wouter, the guy that owns T4A knows the right people everywhere

Coms - none

If you break a leg - deal with it
We were in populated areas every day, people are very helpful. We came across a boy that broke his elbow falling out of  a tree, a vehicle picked him up 3h30 in the morning in aplace where I will not take my vehicle during the day. I believe he was in hospital within 36 hours of breaking his arm.

The guys have said it all. I salute you, and continue to "dream on". Great one. One day when I'm big, I'll try do these things.
