Wondering if anybody else has had a problem and how it was solved...
The fan on my 800 has seized up now solid a few times. Once, in the sand at Rhino park I almost cooked the bike. I took the thing apart, cleaned it made sure it worked and refitted. Removed a handful of sand and solidified mud.
Then agian now after just a few dirt road rides the thing is not turning again?
Has anybody figured a way of making the thing more resiliant? I am temped to cut the bottom of the housing off, so that dirt can fall out the bottom instead of getting jammed up.
Would a "better" radiator guard keep more gunge out the fan? If so what would the "better" guard look like?
Ideas welcome.
