Just to let you know: After having my bike just over a week I had an off the Sunday before last. Returning from Kromdraai towards Muldersdrift on Beyers Naude, a pedestrian (dropped off by a taxi) ran in front of my bike. That is all I remember, as well as a biker couple who stayed with me until the ambulance arrived.
Thanks to ATGATT I came off relatively lightly and only dislocated my clavicle, got a serious shiner and cut above my left eye, cracked two front teeth and broke two ribs. I was admitted to Olivedale Clinic that afternoon and released on Friday past after the clavicle op. Making slow but steady progress...
I did not see the bike afterwards, but apparently it is with Northside BMW to see whether it is a write-off or not... Hope to be riding as soon as possible!
