I felt a lot like Jacobsroodt (what he expressed about Noraly's bike...) , BEFORE reading his comments, now I feel even more like saying it...:
I don't reckon she will FINISH this trip on THIS bike, and that she will revert to a DIFFERENT bike...
DELIGHTED to be proved wrong, but I too think that all that talk about 'double-redundancies' on EVERYTHING was above her head, and that the bike SEEMS to me, to be 'wrong' for her.... Always useful to have
a fuel gauge, when going half-way-round the World...
On THIS bike, she remind me of
Gustav Rahier - not his legendary riding skills, but rather his HEIGHT (or lack thereof!).
(That said, it did not slow HIM down!!!)
I wish her well, but still think there were other - even better-suited VINTAGE bikes she could have tried...!
Just not 'getting' her plan...
