What time of year are you planning to go? Offroad in the black cotton soil can be a nightmare in the rainy season. Consider the Hunter’s Road which runs up the border between Zim and Bots. It’s a twee spoor road entering at Mpandamatenga up to Kasane. Are you camping?

Glad to hear it ended reasonably well for both! I am curious as to how you got to the Hwange Safari Lodge. Did you have to leave the bikes at the park gate and catch an Uber in?

Wow, an amazing trip indeed. Really enjoying this RR. Great photos. Thanks for the time and effort to put it together. I would love to do that on a bike some day. Brings back good memories of trips through Zim. Glad to see life is getting back to a semblance of normality there.

Watching with interest as I would love to do something similar. I once met a guy at Cederberg Oasis on his 300 but am not sure if you are allowed to ride off-road in those parts.
