Thanks for the EXCELLENT RR - being an old Umtali boy, it sure brought back memories.

I did a ride around Zim back in 1985 on a GSX750 - not off road, except for the route from Milibezi to Vic Falls.

Are you going to the reunion?

Mark & Treff - you pulled off a Cracker Expedition!!!
An amazing trip, with a great bunch of very capable adventurers!!!

Tantalizing countryside that's got it all. We were like solitary travelers on the backroads and pathways.

Maybe one goat too many 👿

There were several highlights that this cracker RR brought back to me. Canz, amazing to see how you played multiple roles on this bucket list trip - ever caring herdsman rounding up the wandering sheep, a classy photographer, non-stop videographer and and a revving hotdogger keeping Mark on the straight and narrow. You've left us with amazing memories to cherish, thank you 🙏

I won't lie, there were some deep breath moments 😱 ... always emerging chuffed as hell and a forever smile 💪

One for the Oscars!! 🏆

Very good to finally meet you and do a trip together!

I have selected a few of my highlight photos of the trip in no particular order. Zim Gravel Travel. A really great bunch of guys to ride with, sometimes they had to dig deep but there was never a complaint, they got on with what had to be done and conquered their fears and challenges. A few of them are members here. Some of the riders have been on this trip a few times, Henry has done 8 tours, Anthony (The Rabi) has done 4 or 5 trips, Dries has done 2 tours, @Treffon Smith (Trefhom) has been my business partner on this tour since 2012.
The beauty and challenging riding Zim has to offer keeps the guys coming back for more.

Such a great experience and honour to be part of one of these! The tour is not one of @Just Blip It! ‘S usual afk@k rides, but make no mistake, there were some days where you had to have your big girl panties on to make it through. The tour is aimed at a skilled rider that can maintain a good riding pace over all terrain for the whole two weeks. All the riders handled themselves exceptionally well, even when the going got tough!

What makes this so special is that a large part of the trip was off the beaten track, on single track and jeep track that took months to set on google earth and Mapsource.

This is the team!!

A stunning country with views that go on forever. Intriguing landscapes that change around every corner. Friendly, humble people that are always happy and polite. Sunsets and sunrises that move your soul. Rural settlements that are clean, neat, free of litter, these people are proud of their homes and where they live. Granite kopjies that dominate the skyline like nowhere else on earth, and obviously stir the adventurer in me to ride to the top! Trees and flora so beautiful it takes your breath away, especially the Msasa forests, the Mfuti trees and ofcourse the majestic Baobabs!

Truly amazing RR and trip! Thanks again for the effort in putting it all together. The Matopos is a really spectacular area which definitely leaves indelible memories! I would love to do this trip sometime soon.
