Thanks Grunder! We're trying to improve as we go along.
Nah its perfect viewing; even with the gopro oopsies of us viewing apples and peanut butter sandwiches

You are the king of tire bad luck!!!
I'm only at the Vic Fall episodes now.
I hope your tube luck has changed since then ;)

EDIT: I just realized you did find the solution... it was the Shinko!!!

Good to see you on here 👍
FWIW , I don't use electric pumps , the CO2 bombs do the trick for me , haven't had a failure yet

I’ve seen you guys on YouTube, and I love your channel - though at times the audio is indistinct.

I share your views on fancy sleeping mattresses. They will fail. (Just get conditioned to an insulation pad).

I like your humor, your understated social empathy - and the hugely positive vibe that emanates from your content ( like when you were dealing with endless punctures 🥴!). And respect for your badassedness in having to kickstart those big thumpers.

I highly recommend to all inmates on this forum that they have a squizz at 2kickaround’s YouTube channel.
Having spent a while with Ethan and Sal, I can vouch for the fact that they are a wonderful couple , I hope Africa is all and more of what they expected .

Watched some of this footage last night, after reading about it here, awesome, really enjoyed it!!

Had a chuckle when, shortly after crossing kariba dam, you told the Zambian border security "Yeah man we love Zimbaaaa.... Uhm... Zambia..." :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

We are far from professionals so we're trying to keep it as unedited and realistic as possible.

I swear I jinxed us when I said I've only had a couple of flat tires in my life on motorbikes before we started this trip lol.

We've had great luck with shinko tires and had them on a number of different bikes but I made the mistake of not getting a brand new tire before we left. It was a brand new old stock tire 🤣.

Thanks for following Grunder. Cheers!

Thanks Donald, this is a great form!

The bicycle pump is working but we might investigate the CO2 bombs in the future.

Thanks for the kind words! We had a rough start to our African adventure but you definitely helped us to make it all that we had hoped for.

We finally adjusted the valves on Sal's bike after sorting out the rich issue and they were a little loose. We need to adjust the valves on my bike. Do you think they tend to get tight or loose on these bikes? We on a bit of a time crunch right now so we might not be able to adjust them for

*internet cut out..
We on a bit of a time crunch right now so we might not be able to adjust them for a bit. Top end still sounds good just need to find a closed end wrench and a couple hours in the shade to adjust them.

Cheers hope you are well!

I have watched many of your YouTube video's and have really enjoyed them .

Haha yeah 0012 we were going to edit that out but then we want to make this realistic.

It's confusing when you're going through so many different countries with different languages etc. Borders are confusing especially the "One Stop" borders since you think your talking to a guy from one country but they are actually from the other one.

Often we don't remember where we were the night before and unfortunately I'm not kidding.

Cheers and thanks for following along!

I can only imagine how confusing it must be and you do very well when considering you go through multiple countries in a week!!

Lekker tips nice and direct and some of those pot holes i have already driven through. Others from this list i might be able to miss.

Thank you for sharing, have subscribed to the channel and looking forward to following the adventure.

Klymit Static V

We have two of these and have been using them for the past almost 7 years without fail, they come at a premium so would reach out to Klymit and share your bad experience as this is not normal.

I’m finding your channel really interesting and can imagine myself riding along with you. Will seriously consider doing something similar in the near future. My only suggestion would be for you to research what you can do to improve the quality of the sound on your videos - it would be an amazing enhancement. I imagine it’s because you are relying on the GoPro’s internal mic? What communicators are you using? It would be great to hear both sides of your communication.

Think we had a bad batch, Mr D. We already reached out to Klymit and they have sent us new mattresses... unfortunately they wouldn't send them to Africa only back to our home in the States. Cheers!

We appreciate the feedback mikehood! Unfortunately we didn't get our audio dialled with the go pro before we left home and now we're struggling to find a way to capture our conversation but with no luck so far. We have Sena headsets which are great but older versions that don't allow us to record audio from their microphones. We are working on a couple different fixes right now so hopefully we'll figure out something soon!

Good luck on your adventures.. the hardest part is leaving. Thanks for watching. Cheers!
