Funny guy!

You've never chased bikes, tried to get them on photo and video, then edit, narrate and produce. Then once created, get it approved by Honda and Hardy. Then try find signal to upload at the nearest opportunity. On day 4 we were sitting outside the Vioolsdrif Police station at 1:30 in the morning.

C'maaan, I have some time and connection, fire away with curiosities and questions.

Who watches contestants and then asks them about themselves?  Is there a psychology component to Quest?  Is it you? ;D

How many punctures have the guys had to deal with ?

All the crew, even the caterers are alert for every thing that the contestants do. I did an informal test on them all, but it was openly shared and lots of info given to them as to how to use it in their getting to work with each other.

All the instructors and crew are pretty good at getting into the weeds with the contestants. Gerrit - [member=2149]Scrat[/member] and Claude [member=1976]Claude Deyzel[/member]  (can't remember his forum name) are past Quest contestants.

It's not about trying to catch anyone out. It's simply keeping a close eye on how they Adventure in all respects.

Not one!

2017 - there were maybe 90, yes, that's right ninety! (but there were 23 bikes as opposed to 17 with the other 2. Everyone got multiple fronts and on the last day we all had problems front and back)
2018 - about 10-15 I think

Andrew, 2 questions:

Whats the feedback between DCT and manual from the contestants?

And one for Gerrit and Claude: the old AT vs the new one?

Oh, and one for Riaan:

In terms of Honda, was it what they expected? Better? Worse? Did he know what the AT was capable of before the Quest?

What pressures were the guys riding on?....was that stipulated, suggested, or individual preference?

Riaan had almost no DS big bike experience. He had never stood before.

He’s power sliding round corners now.

He had no idea they were tie capable. Becuase he’s never been on a trip, his calibration is only to now things like the Namaqwa Eco trail. I think when he takes his buddies now, they’ll **** themselves. 😂😂

Contestants are free to do whatever they want. There is however always expert and experienced opinions that are given should they want it.
