We pay the rip off R200 at the Lesotho border after which we are refuses to Sani Top lodge as the open for visitors at 10am

I ignore the guard and walk along the building to at least get the iconic Sani pic…..at a bit of an odd angle

Awesome ride.

You guys are always falling on rocks and giving the bike a hard time, but they always look brand new in the pics.
Do you get them resprayed and replasticted after each ride??

Our bikes have proper braced crash bars, pannier frames that act as rear crash bars and then of course strong hand guards.

I usually do touch up of crash bars and pannier frames every time I service the bike.

All panels and tanks covered with protective sticker kit.

We have to cover some distance today which means staying on tar all the way to the Monnantsa Pass border near Golden gate.

Refuel at Montrose and then on to Sandspruit Pass. A fairly steep and loose rocky climb but the 990s storm up it.

every time we did something gnarly, Mark would say :”This is it, worst is over, we are nearly at the top”

Sounds quite like @Amsterdam , he has the same habit..... and then follows the rest of the loooong day, just struggling on
