600km ON-road loop out of Joburg?

A good friend has a medical issue that means he can’t ride dirt for now, possibly for a very long time 

I want to take him on a nice tar loop out of joburg; give or take 600km for the day. I’m clueless with tar routes though. Any suggestions? Something twisty preferably.
Just not Harties, we’ve done that a million times, and we went to the Vaal museum recently. Keen to check out the dam with sluices open though…
