Hi WD's
I have been thinking of buying a newish DR 650 SE for a while now, riding a Dr 600 S at the moment. However, I made the mistake of riding a mate's BMW 650 X-Challenge last week and I'm hooked. Similar dry-weights, but the BMW just handles great, feels lively and the riding position is awesome. Rotax motor should be just as (almost as) reliable as the air-cooled lump in the DR, and should keep cooler in the sand. Running costs should be slightly higher for the BM, but not too much, its not a GS12 after all. Any reasons why I should still buy the DR? 20 year old technology? Besides the obvious fuel tank limitation?
