Friend of mine told me his bike got this clack-clack sound when riding on rough surface or braking. I had a look and saw his bike's front discs can move back and forth, it is not a tight affair there are a lot of play between the hub attachment, rings and disc.
Surely this can not be good as the disc and hub assembly gets hammered at each other every time you brake and all that holds them in place are those rings, and there is play between them the disc and hub. a BMW tech said it is a floating disc setup and is correct, but somehow this does not go down with me.
Are your bikes the same?
