Crossings became trickier with big slippery stones  testing my inseam

It was starting to rain gently and clouds were closing in on us. Lightning struck too close for comfort. We continued on our track, hoping that the light drizzle would subside…..

And then all hell broke loose. It was pissing with rain! Lightning strikes felt like they were mere metres away.
