Can I please pick your brain for info on adhesive glues?
I am building some cupboard tables to use outside to store all our stuff. Our house is a bit small and Magdaleen doesnt want a Wendy.
The structure is made of mild steel and I want to glue galvanised metal sheeting to the sides to cover and waterproof it. It doesnt have to be very strong. Only to hold its own weight onto the steel structure.
What glue should I use? Would contact adhesive work on galvanised sheeting? What about silicone?
I found some info on www.galanizeit.org and the suggest some two part epoxies or polyurethane glues such as gorilla glue. But gorilla glue is very expensive.
I have 77m of angle iron onto which the sheets must be pasted, so rivets will be a massive schlep (500+ holes drilled) and I have to waterproof the overlaps anyway, so I might as well just use glue.
Thanks
