Aftermarket Airfilter....Yes/No?

Hi fellow 1150/1100 riders

Just want to know if any of you would recommend putting in an aftermarket airfilter? It should definately save some money in the long run as you never have to replace it again....simply clean it regularly (at service intervals).

But do you really gain more power (2-5hp) and get better fuel consumption? I hear the brands to look at is BMC or K&N.

Any advice/experience?
