Good morning dogs.
I have been very absent from the biking community over the last two months and feel a long-ish trip is in order to remedy this. So here goes: I'm visiting my parents in Port Edward for christmas and plan on leaving from Pretoria on Friday (21 Dec) at noon, camp somewhere and complete the route the next day. Obviously, I'd prefer not to take the highway.
Do you have any suggestions for routes and camping sites, keeping the gravel difficulty to a minimum as I will be riding by myself and I'm a firm believer of the ride alone - die alone saying? I'm considering sleeping over in Zastron and riding below Lesoto the next day, but have no idea what the roads there are like?
