For New Year, I rode to Koesoeskloof and then had a bit of a jaunt on the way back, in all about 1000k's

All I did to the bike was undo 8 bolts and unplug the navigation tower. Then put the screen back on. It still had the set of tires I raced with.

Other that that, nothing else was done to it since it crossed the finish line.

Checked the tire pressure and strapped the bags on and the metamorphosis from Rally bike to Tourer was complete.

Jeez, what a bike!

Catching the last rays of 2014. All the very best for 2015!

Kamanya has neglected to tell you about the full stripdown, major service and painstaking rebuild I did on the bike while it was in my garage for 2 weeks after the Amageza

I blueprinted the flux capacitor.
Adjusted the negative tension on the hyperdrive coupling.
Stripped and lubed the sliptoride pump on the accelerator valve
Installed the new double overhead battery terminals and high rise radiator cap.
Adjusted the internals on the New Matik tyres from RACE to ROAD
Drained, measured, filtered and refilled the snake oil cylinder
Changed the batteries and settings on the power bracelets

Ditto! Except I did 2000kms and I didn't even have to replace the windscreen!  ::)

Okay, okay, I changed the oil and cleaned the air filter...

Happy new year! Let's go night riding at Atlantis! :)

I wasn't brave enough, so I had 1.6l of Motorex in that Giant Loop and changed oil half way. But I don't think it was necessary - the oil was clean when it came out.

In order not to scupper Andrew's thread... perhaps I should say more here: https://wilddog.net.za/forum/index.php?topic=157866.120

Kamanya,

Thanks for a terrific report, it felt like I was there doing it with you (I wish I could ride like that :imaposer:)

It looks like great fun and you've given me some inspiration to get to the startline!

Great report and riding / writing style.  Hats off to bully that wicked 950 through there or maybe it bullied you!
