Good RR , researched their site , looks like a really nice gettaway for a couple of days.

There are 3 railway lines on the Hex pass.  The original one, then they improved the grades & finally they built one of the longest railway tunnels in the world there.  The cutting you show is from #2 I think.
I have the opportunity to go up the original soon on a trailer pulled by a tractor.  Some months ago I tried to find the entrance at the top to go down #1 by bike but it is not accessable.  I think it is all now on private land.  If I go on the geriatric tractor/trailer ride I will report back.
