Here's one for Watty to play with.
I recently got my paws on a set of 1:50K maps and was looking around for something to make it easier to navigate between maps. Then I remebered ESRI, (the spatial people) from my Oracle days. It looks very similar to Google Earth and you can apparently overlay the .tif maps. So far I managed to get my Lesotho GPS tracks into it.
Give it a try and once you figure out how it actually works, please tell me.
