Considering that;
1. there is no talk of a National Bash at the moment......
2. the NW Bash (that was planned for end of August) has just recently been cancelled........
3. the KZN bash is on 8th - 11th August.....
4. Opperator (Oppie) has not started his arrangements for the XT Bash in Ladysmith (on the same weekend as the KZN Bash), just yet but I'm sure he will soon...
..............a few of us "Vrystaat Honne" were pondering hosting a "Northern" Free State Bash.
Initially several good reasons were placed on the table as to why this is a good plan but as consumption continued it became apparent that this is a "Must do!" because :
# we are great hosts,
# we have fantastic gravel roads,
# we have the ideal venue that will not cost you an arm and/or a leg
# we will be giving the Gauteng Dawgs a chance to get their commuters full of dust (and hopefully some mud)
# we know people, who know people!
Biggest challenge is "WHEN?"
So if you oakes have any positive input and / or suggestions, we would like to hear from you and maybe we'll teach you to braai on "stronke" and how to use "snuif"
Our options are for weekends of 31st August or
7th Sept (if there is not going to be a National Bash?) or
later in September like 21st (which is a long weekend and may draw some Cape Dawgs?)
