Ok so a micro bash turned into a mini-bash at Hoopstad and developed into a full scale National Bash at VanderKloof! Our 3rd Nat Bash! :thumleft:

On Thursday morning Laurika and Malawi Jones left for VanderKloof and I headed to work to finalize some month end stuff before the first of the Wilddogs arrived. At about 2pm I headed into town to fetch the extra petrol and met some Katoomers and a Hp in the main street. After directions were given they headed towards my house with the people on the sidewalk "ooohhhhh"-ing and "eish" -ing as some crazy Katoomer did his wheelie in the main street. I was expecting police sirens anytime eepwall:

I got home and a party had already started.......

Not sure who the guy in the white t-shirt is??  Good Fucking idea!!! New to bashing and so Bad with names I could have done with everyone advertising their names!

 

If you look closely, you will notice MJ and his wife’s hidden talent. Blowing the WD National Bash anthem on their beer bottles. Never knew we had an anthem. The lady on the right (forgive me for not knowing your name) is thoroughly enjoying it!

This guy (Killing the JOY) , telling us likes it’s gonna be through lots of chirping and banter from the not so sober Dogs.

And then this guy (Pissed on Pete) I couldn’t help noticing, quietly on his own initiative, got stuck in and started organising more fires and making sure all was good so we could eat before midnight !!! Thanks dude!!  (my lack of knowing who is who in the Pack Hierarchy has improved significantly this past weekend)

Later I chatted with him and asked who he was …. Seems like he is one of the dogs who  likes to organise and sorts some of the Cape bashes . He commented on how well this bash was organised this year!

Spiderman and the doos trekker.  Groennie suggesting to Jules that on their way back home they need to stop more frequently  than every 50 kms for a beer, because on the way down he can remember bits of the trip of towing that Giro and it wasn’t fantastic memories!

The Meerkat that was soon to become famous at the bash – I assume belonged to DustDevil and Fam.

Saturday – everything was Very Bright and very Loud! Went for a good ride.

Wondering how we were gonna get to the top of the mountain.

Colesberg Wimpy – Mega coffee as good as ever.

Really enjoyed some of the small dorps.

Although the pounding in my head was far less obvious, everything was still very bright – even this Springbok looked white through my shades!!

We had to Cross over the tar so Briggsy & the mussus made the most with a quick wheelie. (I got some lekker video footage with us playing at the dam – I’ll try load later)

Well used Garage by lots of WD’s. While we were filling up an local boer came over and had a chat warned us about the huge danger on the Road north out of Vanderkloof dam towards the N8 to Bloem – with warthogs darting across the road. They’ve had lots of accidents, week before 5 cops were hurt when they rolled their cage.

Die Koelteko.te het my 3 keer gezap. Twee keer by Du Toitskloof en laaste keer voor Somerset-Wes. Behoort 'n duur uitstappie te wees. Volgende keer ruk ek die nommerplaar af.
