After what seemed like forever riding in very poor visibility, we slip-slided down the muddy road to Semonkong Lodge. By now it was bucketing down properly and after checking in to our rooms, we went about drying our clothes in front of the fireplace.
My heavy throttle hand meant that I was the only idiot that needed fuel the next morning. Eventually found petrol but then my key wouldn't open the fuel cap. Felt like something was obstructing the key hole. After lots of fuss and BMW riders falling over each other to get photo of a KTM in trouble, we poured some oil into the slot and was able to open the fuel cap.
