I would like to get some advice regarding my BMW GS1200 adventure. I was playing in the water two weekends ago and dropped my bike in the water (water was more or less just under the knee deep) picked it up, she was struggling to start, but managed. When I got home, I opened the air intake, took out the air filter (which was wet) left it in the sun to dry and put it back again.
Now my question is… when I down sift from 6 to 5, the bike dies, this doesn’t happen every time which makes it so strange. The bike starts first time, every time. Is there someplace else on the bike that I maybe can have a look at, or do I need to take it in for a professional to have.
Please can someone help me with my frustration.
