Bike Washing

So what do you use to wash your bike with? Buddy of mine washes his Harley with Sunlight liquid, apparently that is what HD recommended to him for the mat finish on his bike. I don't want to take something to the plastics on my bike which will cause them to fade.

Any suggestions?
