Bikes not allowed in car parking

A friend of mine went to the Fruit & Veg today at Somerset Mall with his bike and when he came out he had a note stuck below his seat saying "This parking is for cars only, NOT BIKES"

I mean W T F?

Firstly, there were no bike parking in the area, otherwise he would've used it.
Secondly, parking bays are for any motor vehicles, not cars only.

I think this is clear evedince tht there are motorists out there who clearly have their knives out for anyone on a bike.
