Hey guys. I hope this is posted in the right section...
I have an issue with my 650's speedo acting up. Apparently this is pretty common on this bike, I found a lot of info on it after doing some research. It makes a ticking sound, needles move without the bike moving. Odometer and time also flickers.
Unfortunately, none of the suggested fixes worked and in many cases, references for fixes are made by means of pictures that are no longer available for view. I live in the Freestate where its pretty dry and the bike did not get wet so its not that. Its not a fuse. I cleaned all contacts I could get to with contact cleaner. I opened thr speedo, it's clean, no corrosion. I looked for perished wires but cannot see everywhere without proper stripping (which is the last option I'm considering) so I thought I would ask here first before stripping to check wires, hoping that someone here has some ideas? I'd appreciate any advice.
