Hi all you older wiser riders! I bought my 1150 GS yesterday. It only has 49000 km on and was serviced recently. But I have this nagging question in the back of my mind. After riding it from Pretoria, (about 100 km) I had to pass a truck. When I opened the throttle in 6th gear the revs climbed quite quickly but without responding acceleration. It does the same thing in 5th gear.
Does the 1150 have a clutch problem, might it be the "false neutral" that some people refer to here? My problem is I am extremely technically challenged, and extremely broke after buying this, my 3rd bike (I really plan to sell at least 1 this week, but it is traumatic for me to part with any bike that is still going strong!)
If I accelerate smoothly it does not do that, only during hard acceleration. Do I have to worry?
