The neutral light has stopped working which doesn't allow the starter to operate unless the clutch is disengaged. When I short out the system the light works. I have replaced the switch in the gear box. As I haven't any experience with the inner workings of the gearbox I am wondering if the mechanism that makes contact with the neutral light switch could have warn so I isn't making enough contact. I'm at a loss! Some thoughts please.
