Will Take some flack for this but here goes....
Bought this bike 3 months ago from Wihan on the forum. These do not come around often!!
1985 R80 G/S Paris Dakar - R60 000-00 not neg - I'd rather keep it than give it away.... :xxbah: (Bought it for R58000-00 but spent a couple of grand on a few small items on the bike)
Bike has done about 5000km since engine and gearbox done. I have done about 1000km on the bike
Engine
1.Complete engine & Gearbox rebuild by "Altus Pienaar" (DUSTDEVIL on here) about 5000km ago.(Replaced all gears,chain,bearings seals,etc)
2.1000cc Siebenrock kit. (Barrels,pistons,rings) - pulls like a train!!
3.Siebenrock oil-cooler
4.Siebenrock 5% longer 5th gear for better highway cruising. I've cloked it at 158km/h on GPS
5.Siebenrock heavy duty racing oil-resistant clutch & plates.
6.Lightweight, high torque Valeo starter.
7.No maintanance Gel battery(BMW)
8.New valves,guides and seals
9."Police" spec voltage regulator.
10.Just had major service (All filters and fluids) (1000km's ago)
Suspension
1.Rear: Ohlins rear shock -works sweeeet!
All bearings and seals replaced (wheel and swing arm)
Diff breather
Brake pads -90%
New OEM Rim.
2.Front: Racetech valves
Wilber progressive springs
New bearings/seals
Brake pads -90%
PSP alu- fork brace
PSP alu - bar raisers
New OEM brake master cylinder (Complete)
Steering neck bearings have been replaced
3.Frame
1. Strengthened subframe
2.Wide S/S footpegs (Wild @ Heart)
3.Center & Side-stand
4.New Tomaselli handle-bar
5.Bark Buster hand guards.
6. OEM single seat (Black) and OEM double seat -new(Red)
Purpose made pannier frame with soft luggage system (Oxford)
Extras: Complete set of front forks
Replica BMW speedo fitted, original speedo works, but trip and odometer doesn't
Rear rim(Black) 100%
Spokes and nipples - new and not fitted
Filters, gaskets and a whole host of other spares
Set of new cables
Indicator and brake lenses (new)
Breaklight lens (new)
Clymer maintenance manual.
...and some more odds and ends.
She pulls like a train and goes anywhere, currently running T63's but she is destroying the rear tire with the Siebenrock kit fitted.
