Had a bit of a late morning.

I asked Nicolene if she would get her team together for a photo. I was planning on leaving the next morning, and I wanted to get them on film, as they had treated me so well and they deserved recognition for that.

I found out that Nicolene and Jolene, who had so kindly looked after me at Canyon Roadhouse, had previously worked together at one of the Gondwana resorts.

I spent most of the day on the deck next to the river. Updating my journal and transferring photos.

The only exciting that which happened was seeing this truck on the Angolan side get up the hill. It took them 6 times, reversing out of sight, revving the motor and then heading all out towards the hill, before they got it right.

Matilda was packed and I went to reception to settle my bill. There I met this touring family and they had no problem with me putting sticker no 33 on their rental vehicle.

I stopped at the gate to take a photo and one of the lodge vehicles stopped to see if all was OK. I asked them if they would mind riding behind me to the tar road, which they did and then turned around and went back.

Stickers 34 and 35 went up before I went into Rundu to fill up and head for Ruacana.

I still need to find out what these big woven baskets are used for.

Unfortunately Steady Bar was closed, I needed a cold beer at that stage.

There are massive irrigation channels, but very little sign of agricultural development.

I have to say, you stayed in some stunning places during this trip.

So I have, but there is a lot more to come.

Eventually in Ruacana, Eha Lodge.

A little less than what I expected compared to the website, but bed, sofa and pizza, and it is only going to be one night.

And the Dunlops looked good.

Great pictures Daskop, thx for sharing.
I now understand why my old  man loved the Caprivi so much, I have never been there and he never had a camera that could document it as you have done.

An outfield idea, but if you have the gps or locations of all the Brandon stickers you put up to give reference, it would be cool to post later perhaps after the conclusion of  this RR.
Perhaps other WD's travelling in the area's  you visited can then post pictures of themselves by the stickers you placed. I would.

That rental car sticker may be a challenge  though. :)

Love every minute of the RR, thanks for sharing since I know it is a lot of effort to do so on a daily basis.

Is it not the Rhino that will stomp on a fire?
Maybe I am mistaken.

I have however treated a number of patients (the ones that survived a hippo attack) and can tell you it is a whise move to back off!!

Hi Tom. you might be right about the Rhino, I was just not going to take any chances.

I went to see the Ruacana Falls. The water level was very low, but, now I can say, I have been there.
