There it was, Epupa Falls.

The 180 km took me 4 hours and 15 minutes because I stopped many times, but I enjoyed every minute.

I booked in at Omarunga Epupa Falls Camp. My campsite on the river.

i could swear we camped at the exact same spot ....i did a solo 7000km namibia trip in 2014....it was my soul searching trip after i packed up my business

Early morning at Palmwag Lodge and Camp. I had some feathered friends visit.

I lightened the load on Matilda and went to explore.

 

[DASKOP]

There were many tracks leading from the main road which had no entry signs, but I took a few chances.

Henk had told me about the elephant which visits the lodge, but unfortunately that did not happen while I was there.

The stoicism of these trees always gets me. Surviving in the most arid  regions, with much adversity, yet live and  stand tall for hundreds of years.
There's a lesson in that I will take.

As the sun was setting, a full moon appeared.

I had collected some wood and dry elephant dung earlier in the day. Burning elephant dung keeps the bugs and mosquitos away.

I spent the last part of my last day there, watching Bush TV, before hitting the sack.
