I am pleased to know that the Tannie from Helmering is a nice person, we have only seen the grumpy alter-ego of her 5 times now.

Hi, which Tannie you referring to?

The road to Rosh Pinah.

Rosh Pinah to the Sendelingsdrif Gate into the Richtersveld.

Bjorn had seen the pieces of wood I had on my top box, which I had collected during my trip, and he warned me that they were very strict about picking up anything inside of the Richtersveld, so I duly called the officials to view them before I entered the National Park.

That resulted in a long discussion about their origin, etc. but I said that I can show them the photos where they were picked up in both Zambia and Namibia, but it would take some time for me to find the photos. That dimmed their interest and I was allowed to proceed.

The Richtersveld and the Orange River.

The fact that I was going to be leaving Namibia became real. I was heading home and did not know if I was really ready for this.

The river level seemed very low.

I stopped at a river kayaking operation, but it was all closed up.

It was the 29th of July, on the 16th of May, I took this turn-off to Canyon Roadhouse. It was a bitter-sweet moment.

Thank you for sharing this with us, much appreciated Marius.
Stay safe from all of us here at Sharwoods Bike Tyre!

I am back.

From the Nam border, over the "D F Malan" river to the SA border post.

Sticker no 69.

RPA Covid test at SA border and I was on my way to Oewerbos. I had been communicating with Neville, he had guests coming for his birthday, and could only accommodate me before the weekend.

Once in SA, I sat and had my Windhoek Draught on the river bank, bought with the last of my NAD, before Oewerbos. It was an emotional moment. My amazing trip was coming to an end, and I was heading back to reality.

Neville had arranged a chalet for me, so no camping.
