"Breaking-in" a new 990

So is there any consensus about the best/correct procedure to do the first 1000 kays? KTM recommends no more than 6500 rpm, local KTM mechanic says keep it at 4000 rpm...

Also, they (the dealer) here recommend to do the first 1000 kays with the factory zorsts before throwing the Akros on.
