Had a chat to Malgat yesterday about his "neck of the woods".
Having Brekkie at Beestekraal after a Canal and Jericho rock trip a while ago we wondered if the service road on the railway between Brits and Beestekraal is rideable, 'cos it would be quite nice to factor into future rides up that way.
He has ridden a few bits, but not all.
So we want to do a bit of exploring on Easter Mon - probably quite a bit of u-turning and getting lost in cultural villages and informal settlements, so don't expect a "well oiled" and planned ride.
Prelim plan is to meet at the Umfula Wimpy at R560 R104 Intersection (S25 43.647 E27 49.788) at 08:30 (It is a holiday so a bit of a sleep-in
2-5 bikes would be ideal for exploring & Brunch at Beestekraal Stasie is planned.
If you have never done the North Canal, and want to meet us up at Beestekraal, I can put the track in my spare GPS for you, or post the track here.

Okay - all systems go.
I have prepped a GPS track - Attached.
Tracks are :-
Track - Bits of railway road clicked in from Google Earth - Hope to ride.
RWay - The actual railway line - in case we go off course and lose it
NCanal the North Canal route
WCanal - The West canal road, and road to BKraal.
Rock - the road to jericho rock - just for reference
Waypoints of shabeens and fuel.
