Buying 07 KLR

Greetings fellow Dawgs...
Looks like I have finally found my KLR. 07 Model new spec 15000km :ricky:
Current owner mentioned motor had been done by dealership after he bought it new due to Kawasaki recall...? - since then using approximately 500ml oil between services - Is this normal?
Need some peace of mind before paying the dude.
