So I am considering buying a 1150 second hand from a guy.
He told me that the oil seal on the shaft coming out of the crank case that drives the alternator was replaced some time ago. (after questioning him about previous maintenance...)
Bike has 65'000km on the clock, full service records, runs smoothly - no other issues AFAIK.
Is anyone seeing any red lights flashing? Is it possible that this is an indication of some other secondary engine problem? Or is this seal known to fail/leak after time?
