A question for the sparky and welder guys. I know when you weld on a car , you always disconnect the batt first to avoid damage to the alternator.
My question: if you want to weld something on a bike, do you also have to disconnect batt first?
Many okes weld like when spotwelding a pannier frame in the making on the bike or fixing a sidestand or kickstarter.
Also when you're stuck in the bush and a farmer helps a kwikfix with his arc welder.
Technically, a bike has no alternator, so it should be fine??
