Herewith 28 completely unaltered pictures (just over 4MB). Perfect weather in an awesome country. Sorry to sound like such a patriot, I know it can become a bit irritating.
I will break up my post to see if it alleviated time-outs (probably won't)
My wife and I went to visit our friends Christa and Hilfred, who both work for Cape Peninsula National Park.
We left on Saturday morning and rode the M5 (Lavender Hill and Grassie Paak is lovely this time of year ) to Muizenberg and from there on to Cape Point.
Early afternoon was spent on the beach at Smitswinkelbaai
Our friends stay at the forestry station above Smitswinkelbaai. A lovely place with DSTV but no cellphone reception... perfect?
The weather was most excellent and we made a chicken potjie outside
We stayed up long after the potjie was emptied and listened to the quiet of the mountain interrupted by the krackeling of the fire.
On Sunday morning we entered to Cape Peninsula National Park and rode all the little roads veering away from the tourist trampled main route.
