Cederberg day trip Sat 23 May

Hi,

Couple of Dogs met at the Swartland Engin for a ride through the Cederberg. Off to Clanwilliam, Wuppertal, Ceries and back to CT. All in all about 650k's. Arrived home @ 6:30 pm, totally F%$#@#@ed. Very stiff in the legs today! But it was an awsome ride, and well worth doing.

My x challenge was a bit challenged in the feul dept, only 10L on board. A good samaritan in the form of Rovrat organised the sale of 3 L of petrol in Wuppertal, otherwise I would have been walking to Ceries.

Hi,

No, After Clanwilliam it was gravel and almost to Ceries, from Ceries home it was tar. I'd say 50:50, but the gravel took up all the time to do this ride. To Clanwilliam I guess it took us about 1h30 and from Ceries about another 1h20 (tar about 3 hours). The other 7-8 hours was off road (gravel and ruts)! You can become tired when you have to really concentrate for long periods of time!! Oh, and lots of water flowing over the road!

The guys riding did the action, so no action shots! We didn't have the time to set any up! It was ride, ride, ride!! Time does get away from you....
