Mellowjo - well, well well done! And to your your yellow champ of a GS

- expect many GS' owners here  ;)

Trek al by 36 000 maar stewig op pad haha! Geluk Melow Jo en Groenie, dit wil gedoen wees!!!!

One man, one bike, one ton - great idea - :thumleft:

I've god a mate (one crazy mf) who would take first prize on this fred, hands down. Unfortunately he's not a WD so he won't be posting. He's got an original 1980 R100; done Africa (as in bumming around for over 10 years - relying on his people and trading skills) in and around most of the African countries - 6 times over the years; with a bit of Europe and Eastern block thrown in for good measure. He reckons over a million kms - and he's still holding onto the bike. He revamped it last year - it looks like it's ready for a few more rounds. He was offered a replacement (any new one of his choice for his battle scarred bike) in Bavaria by the Tech Director of BMW some years back - he turned it down :imaposer:

Congrats MellowJo, it is a super nice feeling when you clock over the 100 000 km mark.

2 January 2011 I reached the same mile stone while on the return leg of a 14 day trip. Well the odometer finally registered 100 000 km even thou I was way over the mark already. ( problems with the speedo cable for about a year) By my reconning my bike has over 130 000kms to date.

Hoeveel engines mag gebruik word om die 100 000 te doen... ktm

Nice one MellowJo, can still remembers our chats back then, took you a while to find the right bike?

I did 36k on my KLR and done 60k on my GSA thus far. Own other bikes way back, but only count d/s kms. So i'm due for 100k kms on d/s bikes soon, but have to wait another 40k kms to do it on the BM :thumleft:

Well done.

That bike of yours is a very good testament for KTM all round.
Shows you what a bike can do with proper care and maintenance, even though it isn't in for a Sunday school picnic life under your hands.

;D ;D ;D
