Right, as discussed last night, the plan is to do a weekend trip, for one night, ie leave early sat and get back late sun. Will have to plan it for most likely a couple of weeks after the EC bash, so that Rynet and myself have time to screw our heads back on.
The possibile weekends are:
July 3 & 4
10 & 11
17 & 18
24 & 25
If we can get a general consensus on what works for everyone, then we can make a final decision.
I suggested that we head to the Cederberg, Take bainskloof there, stay at the cederberg Oasis, camping or in rooms, up to you. We should get there before noon, and so can do a ride afterwards, and then another ride the next morning, and then take gravel for most of the route home.
One of the things we need to find out is how comfortable everyone is with riding gravel for most of the time, as that is the plan, otherwise we can come up with a different route.
The other factor is that we are going to have most likely PistonPete and N[]vA joining us, to sweep, and change tyres (but otherwise they have promised to leave us to our own devices).
If anyone has any other suggestions as to where to go, lets discuss and decide
