I have been wanting to take a ride out to Cullinan, to explore a little. Got round to it yesterday, accompanied by 3 WD's; Rodlau, DC Grimm and Cono. Slowmow from the KLR Clan, who I have known for a while, also joined.
We met up at the Caltex in Bapsfontein and took a slow ride out to Cullinan, via Rayton. We visited the Italian War Graves, which was, unfortunately, locked. It is based on the Zonderwater premises and is probably one of the most beautiful grave sites in the country (Probably because it is behind big walls with electric fencing ::))
After this, we went off to the Cockpit Brewery and had some lunch and a refreshment. We agreed that this little town warrants a return trip for further exploration. It is a bit "touristy" where we were, but very pretty and one could take the family there and stroll around and spend some quality time.
To the guys that came out for the ride....thanks. Good to meet you and it was good day out. :thumleft: :ricky:
Just some pics from the day.

Nice I used to love my trippies through to Cullian. The military cemetary is amazing.Next time in Cullinan do some home work as just outside on a now almost obscure road is a fountain made by those Italian prisoners of war which apparently is not even being looked after.
I got the info ffrom the little museum in Cullinan. It may be a fun project to try find as an adventure outting.
