I did not check my rear sprocket before leaving on my Cape Town to Transkei trip (which is still on going). Now, after 2750 KM on the road, my rear sprocket is worn out. REALLY worn out. Under power on steep inclines (or at lower speeds) the chain has now started to slip :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
Where can i get a replacement rear sprocket for a Dakar tomorrow (being Sunday) between East London and Cape Town? I know i can wait till monday and go to Continental Cars in PE (the BMW dealership there), but I have to be at work on Monday!!!
Does anyone here sell sprockets? Or has anyone replaced theirs and they still have the old one???
PLEASE, I just need something, anything (even a bicycle sprocket) to get me home!
