Getting my Dakar was great from a DIY perspective. Just to have a bike again that I can actually work on and add to is great.
After eventually by luck ( ) getting hold of a vendor that can supply me, I ordered crash bars and centre stand from ChrisL. I placed the order in the morning and at nine the next morning it was delivered to my office in Parow. Great.
What is even better is that Chris immediately contacts me with further installation advice. I then phoned him that night with some more questions and he was just to willing to help.
Great stuff, thanks Chris.
The stuff I got was SW- Motech. The finish looks good.
I have not done any bling in a long time and it was such fun. Obviously the normal hick-ups and the eventual bloody finger.
The centrestand works perfectly and was very easy to install.
The crashbars takes a little more keeping your head, but still relatively easy to do.
The layout of the crash-bars is great though. Looks like it will offer protection for the engine and “tank”.
